Elizabeth Za McDonnell works with individuals and couples who want to make changes in their lives. Clients often arrive in crisis over a personal, professional, relationship, or other issue. As they discover the underlying patterns and themes that have brought them to the current situation, they become excited about changing those patterns. Therapy gives them the space and time to see their way through the immediate challenge and learn about themselves so that they can live their lives in a fuller and more satisfying way.

Za uses a rich mix of approaches tailored to the needs of the individual or couple, including traditional psychodynamic exploration, Jungian depth psychology, humanistic psychology, cognitive behavioral techniques, Eastern mindfulness psychology, and other mind-body techniques. She works collaboratively with clients, respectful of their diverse backgrounds, experiences, and life situations.

Known for her keen insight, warmth and integrity, Za brings to her practice not only solid education and training but also a wisdom that comes from her own life experience and personal exploration.
